I make hard edged geometric paintings using either oil or acrylic and masking tape. I also work with coloured or pre-painted paper which is then cut and pasted onto card or canvas. I regard these small pieces as a natural development from, and companion to, the paintings.
Recently, I have begun to experiment with a freer way of painting the stripe, both vertical and horizontal, and the grid. In these new pieces the stripe is often broken into bands and blocks of flat colour.
